Bridge House, a concept design born from our experiences in lockdown, was created in collaboration with DKO Architecture and Austral Bricks. From the outset, the goal was to craft a home that promotes lifestyle, connection to nature, and entertainment while easing the pressures of modern family life.
Redefining Home Living in Sydney
During the lockdown, when families spent every moment, every hour, and every day at home, it became clear that our homes were not designed to support work, hobbies, exercise, school, relaxation, biophilic living, and a surge in amateur baking.
Innovative Custom Design for Modern Families
The design prominently features brick as a prominent feature for both the exterior and interior. This modern, playful use of masonry not only creates a cohesive aesthetic but also emphasises the craftsmanship involved in building a home. It serves as a reminder of the human touch that is essential in constructing a space where families can thrive.
Meeting the Evolving Needs of Families
While COVID lockdowns may feel like a distant memory, one lasting impact is the increased demand for homes that offer more comfort and functionality. Families today seek a custom-designed home that provides a perfect balance between work, relaxation, and entertainment.
Designing for Connection and Privacy
A standout feature of Bridge House is its internal courtyard, which separates the front and rear sections of the house. Connected by a hallway or "Bridge," the courtyard is a nature-filled space that divides the utility, work, and storage areas at the front from the lively, connected, and entertaining spaces at the rear. The first floor is thoughtfully divided into a kids' quarters at the rear and a parents' domain at the front, ensuring privacy for all family members.
Construction Begins in 2025
Inspired by the aspirations of ambitious families who demand more from their homes, Bridge House is our latest custom design concept, set to begin construction in 2025.
