Hall & Hart lands in Northbridge—Here’s why it matters to us

Most of you know the feeling of having a hometown or a home suburb. There’s something familiar about seeing the same buildings, watching new ones pop up, and recognising faces that never seem to age—even though you do. There’s a comfort in returning to the place you grew up. For me, that’s Northbridge.

So when it came time for Hall & Hart to establish a new design studio, Northbridge was the obvious choice. Our new space at 317 Sailors Bay Road might not look like much from the outside, but for locals, the building has been a recognisable fixture for years. Once home to an interior design firm that did incredible work, it’s now where we’ll be shaping our future of home design.

This studio isn’t just an office—it’s a place that feels right at home in Northbridge. A familiar presence, now with a new purpose.

The home-building market has shifted. A family home needs to be more than just a collection of rooms—it has to work harder, be adaptable, and feel right. With land values and construction costs where they are, design can’t be an afterthought. It’s not just about layout; it’s about maximising light, creating spaces that make sense, and making sure the home is a joy to live in—not just today, but for years to come.

Having a design studio here just makes sense. It’s about being part of the community, in a place that already feels like home.

Moving on from the traditional display home model in favour of a design studio feels like the right step for our business. It cements us as a truly design-led custom home builder—one that’s focused on creating one-of-a-kind homes tailored to each family. We’re proud to have stepped outside the comfort of display homes, and in doing so, we’ve landed in another comfortable spot—Northbridge.
